Breast reconstruction

Many stage 0, stage 1, or stage 2 breast cancer patients planning for mastectomy and most patients electing for prophylactic mastectomy are candidate for breast reconstruction. Breast reconstruction is divided into immediate and delayed types. Surgical techniques have been greatly refined in last decades. Main techniques are composed of autologous reconstruction with microsurgical or pedicled flaps and prosthesis.
